Fire safety performance is one of its core highlights. The plate meets the A1 non-combustible standard, completely non-combustible and non-smoldering, with excellent high-temperature resistance. It can reliably achieve a fire resistance limit of 2-4 hours. When exposed to open flames or high-temperature baking, it will not deform, drip molten slag, or release toxic or harmful fumes. Its durability and environmental adaptability are also fully suitable for complex industrial scenarios. After professional processing, the panels possess excellent moisture-proof, corrosion-proof, and aging-resistant properties, unaffected by dampness, water accumulation, or dust buildup in factory areas, and resistant to slight acid and alkaline gas corrosion. Long-term use will not result in common problems such as mold, cracking, deformation, or peeling, with an overall service life far exceeding that of ordinary partition boards. Here's a misconception: many people think it's just a thicker gypsum board or cement board. That's not it at all. The type used on factory exterior walls is usually a composite structure. The top and bottom layers are perforated galvanized steel sheets, with high-density cement fibers sandwiched in between. The perforations aren't decorative; they're to allow the cement and steel sheets to interlock like teeth, preventing them from flying off in a burst and causing secondary injuries. Other types used in dust collectors or silos are metal explosion-proof discs, usually stainless steel. They have precision-machined grooves (V-shaped grooves) to guide where they crack, ensuring a clean break and preventing them from flying off haphazardly.
Installing these is also a technical job. The gaps can't be completely sealed; a 3-5 mm gap must be left, filled with rock wool, and then sealed with a sealant that can withstand temperatures of over 1000 degrees Celsius. Why? Because in the instant of an explosion, before the disc flies off, fire and smoke erupt first, so you need to ensure the gap is also fire-resistant. And most importantly: never install it facing areas where people are working. Imagine, the speed at which those panels explode is terrifying. If they were to fly right towards the employee clock-in area, the scene would be too gruesome to bear. Therefore, pressure relief surfaces are usually positioned towards the sky or in uninhabited wasteland.
Finally, a word about the price: this stuff is actually quite cost-effective. Although it seems significantly more expensive per square meter than ordinary corrugated steel panels, it's much lighter than cast-in-place concrete walls, requires less foundation load-bearing capacity, and is quick to install. Considering labor and construction time, it's actually not a bad deal. Especially now that safety inspections are strict, this is an area where you really can't skimp. After all, if something goes wrong, the cost far exceeds the price of a few panels. Safety may seem like a burden most of the time, but in critical moments, it's a matter of life and death.
